Description:
Sockets functions using sIn and sOut (i/o related CONNECT), do not work on Windows but they do work on Unix. Attached is a temporary patch that solves the problem. If this patch is too simplified, well it works better than existing sockets code.. and maybe I or someone can find the problem in the other huge chunk of code that seems to be causing the issue.
Additional information:
Note: I think sockets.pp is simple and great for demonstrating and using sockets in the utmost simplest form (if and when it works, that is). The sockets unit shouldn't be abandoned even though stuff like indy/synapse exist. I'll try help its life by reporting bugs and patching.
